You mean you don't want your bust to look like a scary, low-slung Victorian monobosom that gives the impression of *aiming* at people? Where's your sense of adventure?

My sense of adventure has long since learnt that its place is cowering behind the sofa.

Oh the horror! Did you see the "How to turn an '80s' sweater into a fashionable floor cushion" bit. I couldn't bring myself to look. I just wondered why I would still have a 25 year old jumper, what state it would be in if I did and why on earth I would want to turn it into a floor cushion.

80's sweaters are becoming worryingly fashionable again. I have seen teenagers in batwing sleeves. It is Not A Good Thing.

Batwing sleeve weren't a good thing first time round - which is why I never wore them - why would anyone bother now. I did quite like the shoulder pads. I didn't actually wear them but I always look as if I am, so it was nice to be in fashion without making any effort what so ever.

The only way it could have been worse would be if she instead bought two smaller doilies and centered them on either side.

Well, I sure wouldn't boast of making somthing like that. But it did hide the "Boston" print...

*sniggers* I like GK's suggestion. In different colours - red and green, to know which side is which! *evil grin*

I showed it to my roommate and her response was "That's cool." Fail.

Fashion perplexes me.

Oh dear! *sigh*

When wandering round antiques and collectables places, I'll look at the piles of doilies and pieces of lace in an entirely new light. Perhaps I could suddenly make a stained old tracksuit top into something fashionable?

Though last year I did find the most gorgeous piece of lace, shaped to go round the neckline and across the top of a bodice, which I will eventually use for an evening top - probably have to make something in plain cream silk for it.
