Things I never imagined myself doing #53: Writing a story called The Vampire's Kiss.
This is for
rhetoretician , who gave me this prompt:
I hope you find something here to enjoy, Ken. I don't know if vampires are your thing. They're not really mine either. Sorry.

One woman is fair, yet I am well; another is wise, yet I am well; another virtuous, yet I am well; but till all graces be in one woman, one woman shall not come in my grace.and I'm fairly sure didn't imagine I'd do this with it. It should be said that the story ended up only loosely inspired by the prompt.
I hope you find something here to enjoy, Ken. I don't know if vampires are your thing. They're not really mine either. Sorry.

Date: 2008-03-05 06:46 pm (UTC)I found the idea of vampirism as a manageable illness interesting. I think that worked very well and you gave just the right amount of information for a short story. What I didn't like was the ending where he offered her his neck. It wasn't a problem with the story or the writing it just made me go "Eeugh!" and feel a little queasey. That's probably why I didn't review, I didn't know what to say other than "Eeugh!" There is a reason I don't read or watch anything about vampires I suppose.
