Wonderful, Annette. And that's right, don't make Charlie suffer on his birthday. Unlike some other fictional characters, he wasn't written for flangst (even if he does have the sars for it!).
It was hard, but I did it. A man with scars is simply asking for flangst. But you're right - he's just not a flangsty character. *off to search for flangst*
Any man who can be bullied into having his haircut by his mum has, in my opinion, rather a low flangst-potential. Bill, on the other hand, was resolute (not to mention the scars)and thus is far more flangsty than Charlie.
