When I drove past it yesterday I honestly thought it must be a joke, but a quick Google reveals that Gruinard is actually a made up Scottish word.

Apparently it is named after Gruinard Island, aka Anthrax Island (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gruinard_Island). I can think of things I'd prefer my B&B to be associated with...
