For the film meme here. The unguessed quotes are:

3. "How old do you have to be before you know the difference between right and wrong? Do you have to be eighteen? Do you have to be eighteen before you can bring yourself to own up to a lie? There are soldiers of eighteen old enough to be left to die on the side of the road! Did you know that?"
This is the most recent film on the list, which came out within the last 12 months. I cried all the way through it.
Atonement, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] brownfach

5. "I said, I said I saw your dad on "Fantasy Island"!"
I love this film - it's pretending to be an action movie, but really it's a romantic comedy with guns. A lot of guns. In unexpected places.
Mr and Mrs Smith, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] bookish327

8. "It's not "show friends." It's show *business*."
One of Tom Cruise's best films (though he didn't say this line).
Jerry Maguire, guessed by [livejournal.com profile] dogstar101

10. Character A: "Plato, in Greek! Not easy." Character B: "Don't you think so?"
I'm not really surprised no one else knows this. It's my most-watched film and it was Helena Bonham Carter's first role.
Lady Jane guessed, brilliantly, by [livejournal.com profile] tdu000

11. "I do this in the name of sports-watching, romantically-minded men; a maligned, misunderstood minority."
A romantic comedy in which perspective really matters. The US title is different from the UK title. This line is spoken by a man behind the customer help desk at Heathrow. Same lead actor as number 9.
Martha Meet Frank, Daniel and Laurence, guessed (sort of) by [livejournal.com profile] tdu000

15.Character A: "Anyway, what's that saying about the sea and there being plenty of fish in it?" Character B: "Ah, yes, but I couldn't possibly marry a fish. I'd be sure to land an old trout."
Film of a play. Not sure if this line was in the original. Might be.
An Ideal Husband, guessed with A LOT of help, by [livejournal.com profile] tdu000

And don't forget there are extra bonus points for anyone who can tell me the movie trivia link between #5 and #13 (Mansfield Park). Well done to [livejournal.com profile] bookish327 who correctly worked out that Jonny Lee Miller who starred in Mansfield Park was once married to Angelina Jolie who starred in Mr and Mrs Smith. I feel that you deserve a prize. Would you like a story? Give me characters/prompts/whatever and I'll see what I can do.

Well done, everyone!

Oooh, oooh, oooh, one more.

*bouncing up and down in her seat like Hermione*

I figured out the movie trivia link between #5 and #13. Jonny Lee Miller (of the 1999 version of MANSFIELD PARK) was married (a long time ago) to Angelina Jolie (of MR. AND MRS. SMITH).
