Very interesting the way you brought Lois in at the end. And I find it very realistic that Nicola might have to cope with at least one child wanting to join the Navy and at least one more having inherited Lawrie's theatrical tendencies!
I really enjoyed reading this story, even though it's not at all how I imagine Nicola's life would turn out - or Patrick's either, come to that. Having said that, it's always great to get an extra dose of Marlow fic! Funny, too - I once wrote a bit of Nicola future fic (never finished) and chose 3 of the same names for her children as you have - clearly all Marlow fic writers are on similar wavelengths!
