Ten things that have made me happy

I'm slightly nervous about trying this because it's not been the best of weeks, but we'll see.
(1) Skipping to the End
I may have mentioned briefly before HOW HAPPY this perfectly wonderful story has made me. Thanks,
stmargarets who knew exactly what I needed and when.
(2) Talking to my friend on Wednesday and making plans for her to come to visit in December. Wed would have been her last day here, but now we have it all to look forward to. We hope.
(3) Everybody's kindness following the disappointment last week, both online and in RL. I've had some fun times with people here, and it's been really lovely to know how much you all care.
(4)
days_of_destiny. Making other people happy makes me happy too! I especially loved Bill's contribution (even though that wasn't a total surprise to St M), and TDU's hilarious piece which quite clearly showed what a capable writer she really is!
(5)
roswrites. I'm excited by this little venture of mine to showcase not only my fanfic but also some original fiction. I'm having fun writing a story that's been in my head for years and is turning out very differently on the page.
(6) Getting my laptop fixed so promptly and with so little hassle on Monday.
(7) Being asked if I wanted to TA again next semester and, when I said no (because I really don't have time for all that grading) still being asked to give the lecture that I did last year because it was so well-received.
(8) Finally having some autumn weather. I know grey, drizzly days aren't supposed to make you happy, but they do remind me of home.
(9) Being asked by my landlady's son if, by any chance, I have a toupet. No, I don't, if you were wondering!! He is hilarious like that.
(10) Watching 'The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe' on Wednesday night downstairs with the family. I love that film. I cried, of course, but mainly at the happy ending. I love the bit where the children are grown up and they come across the lamppost and it feels like a dream, or a dream of a dream. One day, heaven will be so much the reality, that this life will be something we struggle to remember - like a dream of a dream. I'm looking forward to that a lot.
Wow! I made it. Great meme - I tag anyone who's been feeling a little miserable lately.
