Just when you thought it was safe to start writing...

More ridiculous questions and answers from JKR. She's obviously read Asking for Roses, but where has she been hanging out to find Dumbledore slash?

My favourite line was: Other revelations include such information as Hagrid was never married

Who on earth wanted to know that?!?!!?

Wasn't that the joke line Zsenya put in to check people were still reading? Do I have to keep up with this to be able to be a good beta or can I assume my writers (LOL!) will read it and take it into account?

I'm about to send you a long Dumbledore/Hagrid story. You might want to see what the other beta readers think of that. *grins wickedly*

I am stalwart Hagrid/Madame Whateverhernameisbraindedrightnow shipper I'll have you know ;-)

The case for Neville/Hannah was in the books all along, and I guessed it, that's all. I don't think I've got a reason to gloat, anymore than I did for knowing that Harry was going to have to believe he had to die. I was wrong about stuff too. Like Nagini. *looks at TDU*

Maxime. Of course.

Good. Well I'll look forward to your Hagrid/Maxime story, then. What will you call it? A Giant Romance? Their Love Knew No Limits? How big????

I'm delighted to have Hannah and Neville confirmed but I wish JKR would either just write the stories (not an compendium) or stop doing these interviews. Not all of what she says in them seems particularly well-thought out (although, I don't include the Dumbledore-Grindelwald relationship. It does explain certain things).

I had Little Tyke telling me last night that Harry really shouldn't have become an Auror because he'd "had enough trouble for a life time."

Quite right. I hope you told her that he didn't really become an Auror. He went to NZ to learn Search and Rescue instead.

I nearly did but I don't want her discovering fan fiction! Besides, she'd be disgusted that he went to NZ not Australia. (Jo might have named her Little Tyke but Little Aussie would be more appropriate!) It was funny because I've never discussed it with her. It was entirely her own idea.

Maybe you should encourage her to start writing her own fanfic. What would happen if Harry moved to Australia???

Getting her to write anything is like getting blood from stones. She's a very bright girl who loses marks, even in her better subjects, because she won't write two sentences if one, or even one word, would do.

I used to be like that. Honestly, my history teachers in particular used to tear their hair out. I remember one exam when I was about 13 which had my teacher raving about how good it was and what a shame I'd obviously run out of time. Nope, just said everything I wanted to say.

So, don't despair!

I hope she starts writing more easily. I'm encouraged by the amount of writing she's been doing in her English journal this weekend with very little requests for help and no tears at all. However, it would have been better if she had written it as she went along (this project started before Easter) instead of leaving it until the last weekend and making it all up at the last minute.

Jo not doing these interviews? Not a chance. Her only way to avoid them would be suicide... :-D Not that she doesn't seem to like to talk about her books! Which is just as well, considering a big part of fandom wants to know MORE!!11!!!

You can join me and Alkari in complaining "What the hell has she written in all those notebooks of her??" When you get two different answers to what Ron did for a living you start to wonder.

I did a post on Jo's (IMO) lack of world-building on my LJ recently, btw. :-)

I saw you lj post. I think she has planned some things in great detail and other things she makes up as she goes along. A lot of what doesn't really work, like the lack of farming and manufacturing industry, doesn't bother me too much but I don't like the way JKR throws out ill-considered morsels of information. I'd like her either to do it properly or not at all.

What did she say abpit Charlie?

If you go to the Sugar Quill and look up Dogstar's story Asking for Roses you'll find out who Hannah is and why all of Dogstar's friends (and fans) are pleased to have Neville and Hannah confirmed by JKR as a couple. She's Hannah Abbot, a Hufflepuff in the same year as Harry.

JKR also revealed that Dumbledore was gay and in love with Grindelwald. The other bit of information was that Hagrid never married but no other comment was made as to his relationships or sexuality (although it was clear he fancied Madame Maxine in GoF).

I don't think JKR said anything about Charlie. I'm sure Girlyswot would have mentioned it if she had.

She said he was incredibly strong, brave and sexy and that he spent the DH year in correspondence with a cute little romance novelist called Kathleen. Didn't she?

Oh, and I believe she mentioned his arms again. She's a woman, after all.
