So here's the meme:
Canon:
1. Favorite Book so far? Goblet of Fire. Or maybe HBP. I just really like the fluffy stuff in HBP and the Yule Ball in GoF. Yes, I know, call me trivial.
2. Least Favorite book so far? PS. I mean, it was fine. I enjoyed it. Would I want to re-read it? Not so much.
3. Favorite Book Quote? Gosh, you want an actual quote? Like, a real example? Words on the page? Nope, sorry, don't remember it that well.
4. Favorite scene? The kiss.
5. A scene that made you cry? Dumbledore's funeral.
6. Number of times you have re-read the series? It varies from book to book. Between 2 and 4/5 times I think.
7. Favorite character (s)? You need to ask? Oh, you mean you want characters who have proper parts in the books, not just my head? Well then, I like Hermione. And I like Harry a surprising amount. And McGonagall.
8. Most hated/annoying character (s)? Lucius Malfoy. Kreacher. Dobby.
9. Which character do you find secretly annoying that others on your flist love? Dumbledore. Though I'm fickle enough that my answer to (5) was true.
11. Which character do you secretly like that others on your flist dislike? Draco. Okay, just kidding,
12. Favorite Spell? Riddikulus.
13. Favorite magical animal? You can't beat the grandeur and majesty and fierceness of an Antipodean Opaleye in heat.
14. Which magical object would you love to own? A Quick-Quotes Quill would be very useful in class.
15. Out of these, which would you want to be?
1. A skilled legilimens
2. An Animangus (If this, what form?)
3. Metamorphmagus
4. Parselmouth
Metamorphmagus. How fun would that be? You'd never have to worry if clothes suited you or fitted you - you could change yourself to suit them!
16. Which house would you be in? Ravenclaw geek.
17. What magical career would you like to have? Teacher, but not at Hogwarts. I'd be setting up a university and doing research. Hermione could help.
18. Pick one to finish the sentence: Snape is _____
(a) Good
(b) Evil
(c ) A bit of both
(d) I’m sick to death of hearing about Snape.
A bit of both like the rest of us!
Fandom
1. How long have you been in the fandom? Since 2006. Late as usual.
2. Where did you start out in fandom? Sugar Quill forums
3. Which fandom pastimes do you participate in?
(a)analyzing canon for clues - no
(b)participating in debates - only very occasionally when they are about important things like which Weasley has the cutest bum.
(c)writing fan fiction - yes
(d)reading fan fiction - yes
(e)lurking - I lurk in some very strange places occasionally!
4. What (if anything) has changed for you in the fandom? Things seem to have got very quiet over the last few months. I don't know if that's normal in the run up to a book launch.
5. Will you still be with us after Saturday – or is it over now that canon is over? You can't get rid of me that easily!
7. Who was your first fandom friend? I think it was
moonette1
8. Who (canon character) would you ship St. Mags with at moonette’s parties? Well it needs to be someone forceful enough to ignore all her protesting and just snog her. And it can't be anyone already 'attached' because then she'll feel guilty. And it ought to be someone intelligent enough to deal with all her arguments. So, I'm afraid that only one name comes to mind.
Snape.
9. Craziest theory you ever heard.
Snape ends up married to St M and they emigrate to NZ where he trains as a Search and Rescue person and she wins a broomstick race. They come back to England after Harry's killed Voldemort using a well-placed banana skin and the Knight Bus. Harry retires from public life and St M is appointed Minister for Fluff in the new regime. Luna Lovegood is the Minister for Magic and in an amazing coup, also becomes Prime Minister, thus uniting the Muggle and Wizarding worlds in sheer amazement at her bizarre style of government.
So, okay, I've never heard anyone express this theory explicitly, but there are hints of it all over LJ if you look...
10. Your favorite crack!theory
It's all just a dream.
Fan fiction:
1. Favorite fan fiction magical invention/plot line/device bit of cleverness
I adored the ring that Roger gave Lisa in Roger and Lisa.
2. Favorite OC(s)
So many. If I'm being completely honest, I love mine best, just because they're mine.
But I think the first OC I really loved was Abby Loomis.
3. Do you avoid or seek out the following type of fanfiction? Explain:
Fluff - seek out. I read for escapism and this is the most escapist of them all.
Flangst - read, but always hoping for the fluffy ending.
Angst - read, but only if it's good.
Gen - read if it has an interesting premise
Action/Action Adventure - generally avoid
4. Pairings you avoid
I don't generally read H/G or R/Hr and I find Molly/Arthur makes me squicky.
5. Pairings you seek out
Bill/Fleur, Weasley boys with other canon girls/OC's
6. Your favorite fan fic (i.e. not canon) pairings
George/Padma, Roger/Lisa, Lee/Holly, George/Luna (yes, I'm fickle)
7. How has fan fic. changed - expanded your view of canon?
Lots of minor characters now feel like real people with their own stories.
8. What do you think of smutty fan fic?
A guilty pleasure
9. What compels you to read a story?
If it's an author I know or have read before. If the summary's intriguing.
10. Have you hugged someone in the fandom today? I think you should. *hugs to all of you*
Can't remember. *hugs St M just in case*

I agree with you about Molly/Arthur. That's sort of like reading about my own parents, so I don't necessarily need to know *everything*.
