Actually, St. M probably has the right idea, because when you change default icons, ALL of your past default icon posts change, too!

Well, it saves having to choose one every time. But it's annoying if you meant to choose a different one and forgot - you can edit it in entries but not comments.

Plus, I always assumed that was your default icon, with the heart in the sand? If you want to set it as default, you can go to 'Manage Userpics' and just click on the box that says 'Default'. Or not!
