I'm greatly enjoying this story and Christy's adventures. I absolutely love your description of Percy. And I love the office banter, and how you play up Americanisms, LOL. I do see what you mean about not quite feeling like you've got Percy down yet. I personally think Percy can be very Percyish (as in the traits we see in JKR's Percy) and still be crumpet. ESPECIALLY for Christy! I find Christy rather (actually, very) Percy-like, LOL. She's sort of uptight (maybe even more than sort of), a little arrogant, quite serious. I think she'd swoon over that type of Percy. And if you think your story has to show why Percy is crumpet to most every girl, rather than just Christy, I still don't think you need to soften him up. Why don't you play up things like his seriousness, competence with his work, intelligence, excellent decision making capacity, managerial skills, self-confidence (rather than pompousness) - things that we can see easily coming from the Percy of canon after a bit of maturation and hard lessons learned, but that can also be extremely distinct from the other Weasleys, and also things many women find extremely attractive.
So Keep GOING! I can't wait for the rest of them - especially Bill and Charlie!
