Yes, I really struggled with Percy. I've never written him before and I'm sure that shows. I wanted him to have learned some lessons (you can see I have every confidence that he will turn out to be a good guy). I was aiming for indulgent toleration of the childishness in the office, but I couldn't quite get the right level of pomposity. I have another scene planned with the twins in which Percy will also feature, so I'll try and slip in a bit more of the backstory there.
I think Hermione may have taken a while to get used to 'Bimbo' but once I'd thought it, I loved it so much I just couldn't imagine any other nickname for her. She knows they love her really.
I'm really enjoying writing this - can't wait to tackle my next Weasley boy!
