I shall be really, really cross if Lisa Snowdon gets through to the final. I thought her Argentine tango looked awkward and clumsy and her quickstep was just too slow. I don't know what the judges are seeing in her, but I just don't enjoy watching her dance. I did love Rachel's dances and especially her tango which made the hairs on my neck stand up. But I really want Tom to get through. He's just so cute and fun and I always enjoy his dances, even when they're not technically perfect. I voted for him. Though as Tess has just pointed out, that was a waste of money since he's guaranteed to be in the dance off.
I wish they'd get rid of the dance off. The judges get their say in the first round of voting. I'm sure in the first few series they didn't have it. If there was a tie, then the public vote took precedence. And, as has been conclusively shown this series, the dance off doesn't make any difference in terms of poor dancers staying past their sell-by date (though I loved John Sergeant and I always enjoyed watching him dance too, though perhaps not for quite the right reasons). And at this stage of the series, it makes the public voting nothing more than a formality.
Also, fringed dresses? Not exactly flattering. Maybe they look better in RL but on TV they makes the dancers look very strange shapes.
ETA Oh, good decision BBC!
