I'm glad it made you feel better. I thought this was where your post was headed, but all the comments seemed to focus on what we did and didn't 'find out' from the interview, which I find an unutterably tedious and pointless discussion. If you want to know what Ginny does for a job, read the books again, think about it, and work it out for yourself! Which is why I'm still holding out some hope that in a few weeks time, less close to everything, you'll still be persuaded of your own answers to some of those questions, and have conviction in your work, even if you don't ever write Ron the Builder.

Quite right. Like yours. Must go and read Wide Sargasso Sea now. ;) It's the example I always use to RL friends to justify writing fanfic.
