My countdown to Christmas,,,

...began today with the airing of the first ISIHAC episode in its six-episode Golden Anniversary series. Deep joy. Rob Brydon singing 'Who do you think you are kidding, Mr Hitler?' to the tune of 'Yesterday, once more'. Silly, grinny, bliss. Though, as a singer, Rob is no Jeremy Hardy. *grins at TDU*.  Listen again online here.

Sadly, I notice that I have made no other preparations at all. No cards, no presents. Hmm.

Jeremy Harding is a truly talented singer! I haven't listened yet. I will do so this afternoon whilst trying to finish my jacket in time to take to Melbourne on Saturday. I'll tell Little Tyke it's back on as she's a fan (I hope she doesn't get a lot of the innuendo!)

We'll be in England for Christmas so I'm looking forward to listening to Radio 4 for real, it always an important part of Christma for me!

Talented is the word. Or is it appalling? I always get those confused!!

I think ISIHAC is genuinely one of those programmes that can be funny even when 90% of it goes over your head. And One Song To The Tune Of Another is utterly hilarious while (usually) wholly innocent.

Oh, that'll be so fun to listen to it properly on the radio for Christmas. The last few years they've had some kind of Christmas special, presented by an extra-grumpy Humph.

I'm listening now, and while there is the occasional word I miss, I - oh! This is gorgeous. LOL I'll be forever indebted to you for introducing me. *curtsies*
