Hmmm, I think that Miguel or whoever he was is going to reappear and sweep Nicola away from this very dull life to one of adventure and intrigue. This is way too settled for her at 20. Even if some of us do feel that Nicola is boring, she doesn't deserve to be *bored.* And how can Patrick not have noticed what dullness he's landed her in? He can be left with the baby. That should keep him happy.
