Hooray!

At last I can say I'm a Sugar Quill author!  I've been lurking around there for somewhere between eighteen months and two years and now, finally, I have a story up.

Thanks to

[personal profile] amamama for nominating me, and to [personal profile] tdu000for the beta and everyone else just for being lovely.

It's Long Love's Day, btw, so most of you have already read it.  I hope to start publishing The Squib there soon.

Congrats!!!

I can remember oh so long ago when I became one, too!

You can ask [livejournal.com profile] moonette1 the story about it. We were quite nervous awaiting our answers.

*grins at the old skewl memories*

Thank you!! I feel quite ridiculously squee-ey and excited about it. Maybe because so many of my friends have been at the Quill since oh so long ago! I actually wasn't that nervous because, in the bizarre way things worked out, I became a beta reader first so I got a say in the decision. *grins*

Congratulations! Just be patient with the very long lead-time from submission to posting... I got on the "easy" way, via a challenge.

Yes, I gather it's not always very speedy. This time I must have got lucky - I submitted it to Madam Pince at lunchtime and by about 4pm it was up!

I've got the dossiest beta job in the world. Ros emailed me her story; I read it with great enjoyment and then told her it was perfect as it was and needed no alterations. This was my first beta reading job and I think I managed it with style and aplomb!

I can see that aplomb from here! It's hiding behind Young(ish) Albus.

Well done, I won't even attempt to try! *I bow down to your greatness*

Thank you! Maybe next time they have a submission day? They are looking for authors with completed fics, so that's an incentive to keep on with Fight for a Life.

Yippeeee! *skips around* That's so cool - congratulations! And you deserve it. The stories are wonderful. I'd be giddy, if it was me.

*Hugs* This calls for a celebration, methinks.

Cheers!

Congratulations! It does feel quite good doesn't it? :-) I'm glad that you'll finally be able to archive your stories there--you certainly deserve it.
