Last week's Friday Five

1) Where did you go, and what did you do, on your last vacation trip?
Geneva and the French Alps.  I pretended to be Laurie and Amy on the lake, did a lot of sketching and eating delicious food, dressed up as a nun, took a fabulous textiles course and I loved every second of it.

2) How often do you take trips for pleasure?
I guess on average one actual holiday a year, though not every year and then sometimes more than one. Visiting friends and things like that happen a few times a year.

3) How much vacation time do you take each year?
I get six weeks. I always take it all, but obviously I don't always go away.

4) Are you satisfied/happy with the amount of time off you can take?
Yup. I work four days a week and get six weeks off. That's a good sustainable amount for me.

5) What would be your ideal or dream vacation if money and time were no object?
I'd love to go back to Switzerland and France again. But I'd also love to do Italy. If money really were no object, I'd like a private cruise, to which I could invite friends as and when I wanted, and I'd go round Norway and Iceland, then the Mediterranean.
