This week's edition of The Write Stuff has J. K. Rowling as its featured author. It's worth listening to just for the jokes in the first 'read your favourite snippets' section. I haven't got to the end yet, but I'm looking forward to the author pastiches as well.

This is my new favourite radio programme. Simon Brett did an absolutely brilliant Philip Roth skit last week. No wonder clips keep appearing on Pick of the Week.

It definitely has its moments. Sometimes I find it a bit smug, but the pastiches are usually very good.

I've only read Portnoy's Complaint years ago and seen the film of Goodbye Columbus. It was still funny, as you say.
