An email

From the very nice man at Faber Finds:

Thanks for getting in touch with your nomination of Antonia Forest’s books for Faber Finds. We certainly hope to be able to bring her work back into circulation – I know that the series editor has been talking to her literary estate. She’s probably the author that we’ve had most requests for over the years, ie long before ‘Faber Finds’ was ever dreamt up.

We’ll make sure to let you know if we do manage to make the stories available again.

Well, there you go. The Ready-made Family was the first book I ever tried to order in a bookshop. It's still the only one I don't own. :(

Yes, I thought that was the salient point, too.

I'm just waiting for GGB to publish The Players and The Rebels this summer and my set will be complete. Though I really need another copy of the Cricket Term. Mine has pages falling out all over the place.

Have you seen the discussion about this very thing over on The Fidra Blog? You want the entry headed Nimbyism.
