Nearly there

Well, the Exam of Doom is done. And it could have been worse, I suppose. I wrote something for all the questions and at least two of my answers were even relevant. I got up at 6am this morning to do some last minute revision, and pleasingly, one of the things I read came in pretty handy for the question I had no answer to at all. We'll see. I'm pretty sure I passed which really was the main goal.

So now I just have one paper to finish off for Monday and two exams before my friend arrives for a week of American Christmas-themed fun on Tuesday evening. I think a good night's sleep is in order first.

Yay for Ros! I remember being so resentful that I had to study when my 10 year board recertification exam came up. I'm too old to study! I hope everything else is smooth sailing for you. you've got lots to look forward to!

There was a stage in my life where every time I got through a set of exams I thought that would be it. Now I'm resigned to the fact that I'll probably still be taking them when I'm 80. I actually quite like exams normally, but today's was one that I knew I was massively underprepared for. Not fun. But over. Hooray!

Well, you're glad that's over! I wonder if things we anticipate as bad are really as bad afterwards? I still have nightmares that I'm back in school, an exam is coming up and I didn't prepare for it.

I hope there is less doom associated with the other exams. I agree that knowing you're under prepared is the really horible bit about sitting an exam. I hope you're not still sitting them at 80. Best wisshes for the rest of the exams and your paper.

LOL. I've been paranoid all week that I'd forget to turn up yesterday to give my Greek class their exam.

Yes, I think the others won't be nearly as scary. I don't really mind sitting exams - I quite enjoy the challenge of me versus the paper. And no distractions - there really isn't anything else to do. Although I did write today's exam on a computer and I kept wanting to check my flist. Of course the computer wasn't on the internet so I couldn't have even if I'd tried. Shows how bad my work habits have become though. Oh well. ;)

I kept wanting to check my flist.
Maybe you could have called for a lifeline or whatever it was they used to have on "Who wants to be a Millionaire'. Wish I could have helped, but--alas--I'd be no help at all!

Oh! I almost forgot! Enjoy your long delayed visit with your friend from back home. I know you've been looking forward to it for a long time. What a great way to kick off the holiday festivities. Have a wonderful time!

Sending chocolate, hugs, and Charlie-filled dreams (but only those that aren't distracting!) in these last few hours!

Now let's see...I hope that you were able to get that sleep that you needed this weekend, that you were able to finish your paper with particular flourish, that both your exam today and tomorrow are easy as pie, and (most importantly!) that you fully *enjoy* your time with your friend from home. You definitely deserve it.

BTW, what a fun time for her to be visiting! All the festivities, decorations and yummy food...sigh...have a wonderful time. *hugs*
