I just keep coming back and looking at this! I can't believe you did this for me! There's so much to love in these pics. First - that's so cool you used the passages that you're illustrating - it's like I'm there, too!
I love how you used the blue of the magic - and in each case where magic is shown you chose to show how they were connected and helping each other. Kathleen helping Charlie first and Charlie helping Kathleen. I love the diagonal of the stairs and the action you convey in those lines.
In the other connection picture - the horses are so gorgeous - you got the glowy palamino look with the feathery wings and the delicate hides. No wonder Charlie felt so protective of them. You also have the sinister figure waiting in the coach.
Then the other two pictures you drew are Charlie and Kathleen paired off - I love how his arm is on the back of the seat in the first one. Such a pretty arm! It's canon, you know - Charlie's arms.
Er - sorry - drifted off there.
The colors are wonderful with the red flames and her red sweater and his red hair - and then the blue rucksack and of course, the sinister black wand of the Death Eater.
I can't imagine how difficult the last picture must have been with the full on shot of Charlie and Kathleen (and the horse) I love how he's smiling and she's so much smaller than he is. (That's the way I thought of her - small and very feminine but not all that flamboyant.) I think she's a good contrast to Charlie and your drawings show that!
Sigh. I took 5,000 words and your four drawings told it all in 4,000. :) Thanks so much. I'm so thrilled you did this.
