Thank you, secret Santa!!! I *love* Mary-Sue Muggle-girl meets Charlie plots - so much fun. Although, I'm not sure why it is that when my car breaks down (which it seems to want to do often at the moment), Charlie never comes past to help me. Hmmm.
Here are some of the other things I loved:
Charlie not being embarrassed when lacy knickers land at his feet.
Booming jovially. He does that.
Kissing her on the forehead. He is trying to be a gentleman. *sigh*
Doing the washing up the Muggle way - and then getting into a fight with the lather. So cute. And of course there aren't rules. *g*
His grin. And the wink. Too cure for his own good.
This: Charlie’s muscles were perfect. His forearms were thick and biceps thoroughly filled the sleeves of his shirt, but on him they looked just right. *happy sigh*
And this: his blue eyes Quite right.
The dragons and the magic and letting the dinner burn because of that kiss. That kiss.
And then - sigh - the way he knows she'll leave and he doesn't just let her, he arranges it for her, but he still manages to make it clear how much he wants her to stay and... oh, flangst. That last paragraph is just so heartbreaking. Poor Charlie. He'll definitely need someone to go round and take his mind off things and cheer him up after that.
