callmemadam. As an aside, one of my earliest memories is being taken to see Call Me Madam at the Birmingham Hippodrome with Noelle Gordon. I remember almost nothing except one song which was reprised at least three or four times due to the wild applause of the audience. It was a really thrilling experience in the theatre.

A is for Jane Austen; and I'm going to choose Mansfield Park, though this is a difficult decision.

This is hard! I may have cheated a little (is Google cheating?), but I still can't think of anyone for 'N'. Maybe I should have read Nabokov, but I haven't. And surely there must be somebody 'Young' who I've read, but nothing springs to mind. Ah well. I shall try to fill in the blanks sometime.
